Environmental Club Updates
OUR NEXT MEETING IS TUESDAY 11/13/2012 from 3-4... we plan to work on the front gardens.
JUNE 1st, 2012 WE PLANTED 5 LARGE FLOWER PLANTS IN OUR FRONT GARDENS--PERENNIALS! Hopefully they will continue to come back year after year!
MAY 2012 We have stayed after school 2 days take tackle the weeds in Poquessing's front gardens.
The Churchville had a total of 52 volunteers (we were 12 of them)show up and collected a total of 386 pounds of trash this year.
We are meeting at the Churchville Nature Center on April 14th, 2012 for the water reservoir clean up-10-12 again!
We are doing a "COMFY CHAIR" fundraiser to help us buy plants for Poquessing's gardens April 2012.
MARCH 24 we were at Churchville for potting plants: 10-12
Mrs Scott delivered all the wonderful donations to "Lead the Way" an organization for animals based in Langhorne-Trevose area. We received 77 cans of food and 45 towels and 9 blankets---GOOOOO Poquessing!
>Feb 2nd's meeting: Students and officers worked on promoting an "UNLEASH THE LOVE" campaign to help homeless animals in our area--it is running from Jan. 30-Feb. 10 and we are collecting old,clean towels+blankets and unopened pet food to be delivered to a pet shelter on Valentine's Day.
We also decided to help out with the 2012 water reservoir
cleanup at the Churchville Nature Center on March 31st and help them pot plants and flowers for their fundraiser...more details soon.
>Oct-Nov 2011 Please take a look at the front gardens of Poquessing--Our club members are doing an awesome job weeding and mulching the gardens. Poquessing's PTO helped supply us with the materials we needed to decorate.
October 18: Students spruced up the front gardens of Poquessing and disposed of the weeds in a "green" manner...woo hoo!
